Hi Peeps!
I decided to take on the 31 Day Challenge. However to Squeeze it all in I am only doing one nail! I know this is a bit lame, however I'm Juggling full time work, a new college course, family things and I want to keep my blog going too! I missed out on doing it last year as all the nail community stuff was very new for me!
So I decided to contribute to the #31dc2013 by doing an accent nail (but using samplers so I can also use them on my design wheels!)
I post my daily efforts onto my Instagram
and thought that I would do a blog post for my designs in clusters of days.
First up is the days One through to Seven ........
Day One ..........Red
I used Marks and Spencer Limited Ruby then once this was dry I used striping tape to divide up the nail into sections and top coated and used ruby red glitter.
then used mu black striper to outline it!
et voila!
Day Two .......Orange
For this I used a base colour of BarryM Gelly High Shine Mango and then Avon Mandarin Magic which is an orange shimmer, then I used 3 pieces of Fimo Orange slices (I seldom use my fimo canes I always forget I have them!) I quite like this design even if I say so myself simple yet effective!
Day Three - Yellow
For this I used Avon Lemon Sugar which is a creamy formula which is opaque in 2 coats and then on the outer sides I used BarryM Texture Station Road to add a bit of depth to the design and finally some heart shaped yellow rhinestones. I love the freshness of the yellow and it kinda reminds me of spring time.

Day Four..........Green
This colour was the most troublesome of the first few! I didn't know how to make green polish look nice. Green is not a pretty colour and not a colour I would normally wear. So I used Avon Garden Green and then used my new neon studs which I have been dying to use and needed and excuse. I then used some smaller silver studs in an around the green ones. This sort of reminds me of a turtle shell!
Day 5 ..... Blue
I have soooooo many different shades of blue polishes. This design was a no brainer for me I saw this a while ago done in green on YouTube given I have soooooooo many blues I thought it would be a good colour to use. I added my own twist with some blue half pearls. The Blues I used were Avon Forget-me-not-blue, Avon Arcticwaters, BarryM Blue I/C, BarryM Blue Moon then the pearls.

Day Six.......Violet
This is a marble without water and I used Avon Plum seduction, Grape goddess and Loving lavender all jumbled together in a random way using an orange stick. This is not my favourite design but I didn't want to do a water marble as this is later on in the challenge. It turned out better than expected and better than when I have tried this method before.
Day Seven.....Black & White Using BarryM
Black and White topped with a matte top coat I used the brand Attitude for this.
I taped this off randomly and it kinda looked like an abstract donkey so I put a silver stud in for an eye!!
Here's a pic of them all together!
