#31dc2013 days 15 - 21

Hi Peeps!

Well it's that time of the week again!! I have been posting on Instagram all week my daily efforts for the #31dc2013 and here is my little review of each day. Week 3 was a nice week in the challenge and lots of pretty challenges to be done. So with out further ado onwards ..................well after the jump!

 Day 15 - Delicate Print

I chose lace as this is the most delicate print I could think of
I decided on a diagonal tip of colour and used Orly Jealous Much? then a Sally Hansen nail art pen to draw the pattern and for the bottom of the nail is George top coat Starry Eyed I quite like the effect this gives. I got my inspiration from a pic I saw on pinterest but cannot remember who it was.

Day 16 - Tribal Print

I haven't had much to do with doing tribal print before so this was a new experience for me.
I wanted to use some vibrant colours as well I have a set of five 'Nail Art' colours which are a brushes and nib combo in neon colours. I used a base colour of a sheer peach mask type colour then applied the neon's over it in stripes. Once all this was dry used a Sally Hansen pen to draw the design topped off with George Starry Eyed. Over all I got the effect I was aiming for.

Day 17 -  Glitter

Glitter is a lovely word and fills me with joy! I have lots of glitters in dust through to large Hex pieces to sequined sized glitter. I <3 glitter.
I have some lovely iridescent glitter hexes and I wanted to use them. This required a lot of placement with an orange stick and top coat. After the glitter pieces were all in place I use Wild & Crazy glitter top coat in Wasabi. I really like this glittery glitter nail.

Day 18 - Half Moons

Remember the Jaffa Cake Advert full moon, half moon, total eclipse? ha ha! this made me think of this when I read it was on the challenge. I didn't go down the Jaffa Cake design route though! (that would have been a mega idea though!! may be next year!)
I have a set of Orly Mani Mini's and never really used them that much. They are all crèmes and they are lovely shade (I used one in my lace design above!)  so I decided to make use of them for this I used pink in the half moon which is called Prelude to a Kiss and then the grey which is called Faint of Heart.  I topped the grey with Andrea Fulerton Gemstone. It looks sooooooo much better in real life the gemstone top coat is awkward to photograph.

Day 19 - Galaxies

I have tried to play around with galaxy before and never been very successful this was my attempt! I'm quite pleased with it.  I sponged different dark purples and pinks and did use OPI Live and Let Die as a base colour and topped it with Wild & Crazy Wasabi.

Day 20 - Water Marble.
I haven't done any water marble for such a long time! I know that out of all my polishes that Avon are the best ones for Water Marbles so I went for it building my bulls eye with Forget Me Not Blue, Starry Sky, Blue Escape & Blue Water Lilies. I'm not over the moon with this but then I'm not a water marble genius (far from it!!) and therefore I concluded this was the best I was going to get it. (without getting frustrated!)

Day 21 - Inspired by a Colour.

I love Pink. I went through a phase a few years ago now since I am old!! ha ha! that all my accessories had to be pink and sparkly and at the very least pink! this is my homage to pink. base colour is Barry M White, the different pinks are Avon Pink Crème, Orchid Splash, Grape Goddess and the glitter is Barry M Rose Quartz. The design I used was inspired by a Blogger called NailSide.  Although she has not posted on her blog in nearly 6 months she has some really lovely designs on there!  I really Love this Nail!

Week 3 altogether!!
